New York City: Speakers at Stop Wall Street’s War on Women march and rally, March 31, 2012.

Over 75 people braved cold rain and winds to join the demonstration called by the International Working Women’s Day Coalition 2012 at the Wall Street “bull” statue in lower Manhattan. The protest will highlight issues that impact the lives of poor and working women in midst of a deepening, insolvable, capitalist economic crisis in New York City, the U.S. and worldwide. A major focus was on the recent racist lynchings of Iraqi immigrant Shaima Alawadi and African American youth Trayvon Martin.
